Description
Join us for the third annual 5K for Pizza on Saturday September 17, 2022! The flat and fast course will take runners along the picturesque Hoboken waterfront, and conclude at our finish line festival where all participants will get to enjoy some epic (and free) local slices. The sponsors for this year's pizza festival are Napoli's, Impostos, H&S Giovanni's, Benny Tudinos, Torna's, Tony Boloney's, Basiles, and Alessio's! Registrants will be eligible for a minimum of 2 slices. Gluten free will be available.
All runners will sport commemorative Tyvek bibs, and be able to enjoy other sponsored giveaways at the finish (i.e., drinks, snacks, etc.). Professional photography will be on staff to capture the day's events, whose images we'll make available as free downloads soon after the event. The event will also be USA Track & Field sanctioned & professionally chip timed. Race themed t-shirts will be available as a registration add on (i.e., an additional $7.00 cost).
Held on September 17th, the 5K will start at 10:00 AM.
Packet Pickup
To limit our impact on the environment, Packet Pickup will be bagless. Your "packet" will include the race t-shirt you selected at checkout (if applicable), your race bib, and some safety pins.
Pre-Race Packet pickup will be held on Friday September 16th between 6-8 PM at JackRabbit Hoboken: 127 Washington St, Hoboken, NJ 07030
Race day packet pickup will begin at 8:45 AM at the race check-in area (the north-east corner of Pier A Park).
Directions & Parking
The 5K events will start and finish at "Pier A Park" in Hoboken NJ. The check-in and festival area (i.e., packet pickup, delicious pizza) will be on the north-east corner of the Pier.
For drop off (e.g., Uber) you should utilize "100 Sinatra Dr, Hoboken, NJ 07030" as your GPS address. Though, be mindful that course roads will be closing around 9:00 AM and being dropped off a block or so from the venue may be best.
For those taking public transit (e.g., Path, Lightrail), Pier A Park is a 1 or 2 minute walk north out of Hoboken Terminal.
For those driving themselves or otherwise in need of parking for their driver / friends / fam, metered street parking is available on first come first serve basis. Hoboken Municipal Garage B is the closest garage to the venue, and likely the most convenient parking solution; the address for this parking facility is "28 2nd street, Hoboken, NJ, 07030".
Bag Check
You are encouraged not to bring bags to the race, but we will offer bag check for $5 via exact cash or Venmo. Card readers will not be on site.
